The Jay bandstand was built in Henry K. Brown's honor. He was the leader of the Jay village band that played in the village green during the summer months. Mr. Brown was born in 1836 and died in 1913. He is buried in the Jay Central Cemetery. The large tombstone shaped like a large piano marks his grave.
